Led Zeppelin was an English Rock band that is now regarded as one of the most popular and influential musical groups in history. The band consisted of four members Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Bonham and John Paul Jones.

Led Zeppelin was formed in 1968 and the members of the band were consistent innovators who never lost mainstream appeal. The band is probably best known as ‘pioneers of the heavy metal and hard rock genres’ however Led Zeppelin has been known to include disparate elements from an eclectic spectrum including soul, funk, Celtic, Indian, Arabic, folk, Latin, blues and reggae.

In 1980 Led Zeppelin decided to disband due to John Bonham’s death however their music continues to sell well, garner widespread radio play and hold a strong influence on modern rock music. In a recent study, it was found that the group has been reported as having more than 300 million albums sold worldwide, including 109 million sales in the United States alone.
